Talking about Irony...
Devil worshippers try to execute a Christian woman. Then God intervenes with an earthquake. Unfortunelaty, the woman dies anyway as the earthquake causes the blade to fall on its own. Now that's irony.

In 1971, Nikel Pallat, drummer of german band Ton Steine Scherben, was invited to discuss the position of german pop music on national tv.
He was invited as spokesman for the fundamentalist block of polit rock, Ton Steine Scherben being a band that self produced its records, avoided the charts and regarded any music with profit in mind as worthless.
Deciding that time had come to take sides he destroyed the studio table and stole the microphones.

Cyprien Gaillard • deconstructing
Last weekend i saw a very nice show by French artist Cyprien Gaillard at Spruth Magers gallery in Berlin. His work in general deals with deconstructing modernistic architecture and the failure of utopian ideals that those structures are based on.
He visualizes this idea of deconstructing often very literally.
